Ex-Berliner Janne Timmer, who you might know from her intimate concerts at Art.City.People. grew from our cozy art space to the big festival stages of The Netherlands. At least, that was the plan for 2020. Her band, previously called Dave Warmerdam Band, will now continue under a new name: HARLEM LAKE! And combined with the new name they will present their new music: blues rock with a very sweet splash of soul music!

These times are very hard for everyone working in the event- and music industry. Art.City.People. set up a crowdfunding to prevent our beautiful art space from disappearing from the Berlin art and cafe scene. This concert is also a part of our crowdfunding: the band will share their profit with us! So if you are excited to explore some new music and want to support Art.City.People, this is your chance!

Harlem Lake originally consists of 5 band members, but for this special occasion they expanded the band with horns, backing vocalists, percussion and a second guitarist! The past year they kept on working very hard on new songs and finally they get the chance to play them for you! Their sound is big and mature, something that you’d normally find at the mainstage of the biggest festivals. You can expect them to rock your screen and surprise you with beautiful arrangements to strengthen the lyrics, all written by Janne!

We are big fans of her and her music so we are so excited to see her perform with her band! After winning the Dutch Blues Challenge, they travelled to the USA to participate in the International Blues Challenge. In the semi finals they were spotted by the american musician Walter Trout who asked them to play his support during his shows in the Netherlands in September.

But before the world can break free again, we will enjoy this exciting livestream concert from Harlem Lake! We’re very proud to co-organize this concert and hope you will have a great night on the 27th!
